His current
research focuses on applications of quantum optics in
quantum information. He also conducts interdisciplinary
research between condensed matter and atomic physics as in
the case of topological phase transitions.
He received gold and silver medals at the 1998 national
(Iran) and international (Iceland) Physics Olympiad,
respectively. He studied in Iran at Sharif University, and
in France where he received le Diplôme del’Ecole
Polytechnique. He is the President of the Iranian Studies
Group (ISG) at MIT, which promotes an analytical
understanding of the long-term social, economic, political
and cultural issues related to the development of the
Iranian and Iranian-Americans society. He is also a
co-founder of Harvard Iranian Student association. |
